CHREMIR is a multidisciplinary research hub advancing rigorous, independent evidence at the intersection of human rights, environmental justice and migration — informing policy across South Asia and the world.
Established under the Department of International Relations and approved by the University of Chittagong Syndicate, CHREMIR operates as a nonpartisan academic hub, think tank and change agent.
CHREMIR conducts multidisciplinary research and translates it into evidence-based policy. We collaborate with academic institutions, NGOs and UN bodies to protect displaced, environmentally-affected and labour-migrant populations — and to nurture the next generation of researchers.
To produce rigorous, independent research and evidence-based policy on human rights, environment and migration — and to advocate for those most affected.
To be a leading South Asian academic hub and think tank shaping national, regional and global discourse on justice, sustainability and human mobility.
